I’m pretty sure I’ve said this a million times but the holiday season puts me in such a good mood! I wake up feeling great and energized like I can literally conquer the world. I hate the winter but even the holidays make me forget about being cold (just a little). These days are flying by and I think it’s time I narrow down the things I want to do before we end the holiday season. What better day than today to present my Christmas Bucket List. Although the name says its a Christmas list, my list generally goes until December 31st. I’m going to try my best to knock these things off my list before then. Here it goes:
Visit Macy’s Santa Land: I haven’t been here in years! I feel like I’m taking NYC for granted which is common for people like me who’ve been here all of our lives. We’re so used to dodging the crowds that we forget to enjoy the things that the city brings. Santa Land at Macy’s is one of a kind and I know my son wold really enjoy it. We will definitely be going.
Visit FAO Schwarz: Is this my Christmas Bucket List or my son’s?! Lol. I want to visit all of these fun places for him because I know he would love the experience. He wasn’t even born when FAO closed down in 2015, but now that they’ve recently reopened I definitely want to give him the chance to see it. (Ok, me too)
Donate Toys/Clothes: I’m trying to get this done ASAP! I have so many toys in my house its ridiculous. I’m realizing that its not that easy to find organizations that accept gently used toys, but I’ve found a few in NYC and I am eager to drop a few bags off to them. While I’m at it I’ll also be getting rid of clothing.
Make A Gingerbread House: Since I made my little fireplace I have been dying to get into more arts/crafts/DIYs. I can’t wait to try this. Let’s just say I’m not the baking type and this should be really interesting.
Recreate A Holiday Make-up look: I have a few glam-ish events coming up, and I really want to try to do a full holiday recreation make-up look. I have a few Youtubers that make it seem so easy. I’m going to try to follow one of them for one of these events.
Make ugly Christmas Sweaters: My family is having a Christmas Party and the theme is “Ugly Christmas Sweaters” I thought about buying some for us, but I’ve been on the “budgeting wave”, and I’ve decided to make them myself. I think it will be fun.
Christmas Pictures: We’ve been taking Christmas pictures since my son was born. We’re a bit late but we will be taking them soon.
That’s it for me. I kept my list short and sweet because I wanted to actually achieve everything on it. I wanted to keep it manageable. I’ll be posting about each of these events as they happen so be sure to check back. What’s on your holiday bucket list?
