This week has been an absolute whirlwind and its only Monday! If you follow me on Instagram then you might’ve caught my story where I discussed my plans for Vlogmas and Blogmas. Just for the sake of not repeating the whole thing, here’s a link to that story for those interested:

The Story Of My Youtube Account

To sum it up, my Youtube account was terminated due to a Trademark complaint. I’m currently appealing the termination, but the hard part is that I’ve already created a full content calendar around Youtube. So I now have to revamp my plan and figure out how to distribute the content for the month of December. The reason why December is so important to me is because I like to use it as preparation for the new year. Dedicating myself to a full month of creating daily content makes me want to excel in the new year. The termination kind of put a damper on my plans and sent me back to the drawing board. I missed a few days of posting, but I’ve finally decided to get back to it. I’ve decided to start over with a new YouTube account. The only thing about that is that you can’t get any of your old videos back 😩. Hopefully this will all be settled soon and I can get them, but for now I have to stop dwelling. I decided to jump back into my plan by just doing 31 Days Of Content. It won’t always be about Christmas, but I will dedicate 31 straight days of content to my outlets (blog, youtube, IGTV, etc). Of course since I’m starting late this means I will fall into January, but that’s ok because my plan is to continue into the new year anyway. I kicked it off with a Budget-Friendly Christmas Decor video. Since my son is now two years old, he has a good idea of the concept of Christmas. He doesn’t know the true meaning yet, but he knows all about Christmas Trees and decorations, and he loves seeing them. I’ve never really been big on decorating for the holidays but seeing how excited it makes him, makes me want to get into it. I didn’t want to break the bank by purchasing a bunch of decorations so I decided to set a strict budget of $50 and we headed over to Family Dollar. I put emphasis on “strict” because I know how easy it is to get carried away at a discount store. The crazy thing about this budget was that it had to include our tree 🤔. I had heard crazy stories about the prices of trees, including fake ones, so I had no idea how I was going to pull this off, but if there’s a will there’s a way, right? I figured I have at least 1 more year of fake trees before my son starts questioning it lol. So anyway, I bundled us up, and we headed over to Family Dollar. The decorations ranged in price from $1-$25. We were able to get garland, lights, ornaments, and a TREE, all for a little under $50! 💃🏽

I even went a step further and created a mini fireplace to accompany the tree:

Mission accomplished! This definitely helped me get back into the holiday spirit and even the spirt of participating in Blogmas/Vlogmas. I’m looking forward to bringing you more content as the days progress. How’s your holiday decorating going? Have you started yet? Do you know of any other good deals and discounts?

    1. Thank you! I’m gonna start buying ok clearance too at the end of the season. Especially since I know my son enjoys it. Might as well save as much as I can! 💕

  1. How fun that you actually made a DIY fireplace! What a neat idea. The holidays are so stressful and expensive, it is good to have budget friendly ideas.

  2. This end of seasoned I’m definitely shopping at clearance for next year decorations. I bought some from last year but didn’t get a lot.
